I'm David
I qualified as an ACCA accountant in 1999 and spent 14 years at Vestey Foods Group (then owners of Donald Russell Meats and Classic Fine Foods), working closely with subsidiary entrepreneurs in the UK and overseas.
More recently, I have held a mixture of interim/contract fractional finance director (FD) /business partner positions in the food, hospitality, retail, construction, manufacturing, membership organisation, storage and distribution sectors. This breadth of experience means I understand the pressures and challenges your business faces. Clients appreciate my straight talking, direct approach and the fact I’ve been there, done it as opposed to just another practice accountant.
My financial knowledge isn’t exclusive to businesses. I was recently very proud to have put together a successful community orchard tender, placing it in a company ownership with local residents as shareholders.
When not working, I am a keen walker, often taking off into the countryside with my four legged companion, Roo. If it’s too wet to walk, I love collecting music and tracking down the more obscure music, particularly from the 60s and 70s.
